Working with a Recurring Project

In this article, we're going to explore how to evaluate and edit the entire template of a recurring project.

To understand the difference between a template and an instance of a recurring project, check out Definition of Terms for Recurring Projects.

You can view all recurring project templates in the Projects section -> Recurring.

Here, you'll see a list of all active recurring projects, including how often they recur and when the next recurrence is scheduled.

Recurring Project Detail

  • Recurring project templates always feature a green header. This helps you easily identify whether you're editing the template itself or an individual project instance.

  • Future projects are created based on the project template. So, when you make edits to the template, these changes won't impact any ongoing or completed projects. Likewise, editing an individual project instance won't affect the template or other projects.

Within the project detail, you have access to reports of both ongoing and completed projects, enabling you to evaluate the recurring project comprehensively.
