To make time tracking easier, we have created an application for MacOS and Windows.

You can download the Mac application from the App Store

After launching, an icon with the Costlocker logo will appear in your top menu bar. When you click on it, a login dialog will appear.

After logging in, you will see Time Tracking along with already tracked entries. Tracking works exactly the same as in the browser. It is described in detail in this article.

Inactivity Notification

If you have time tracking running but are not active on the computer, the application will notify you and give you options for what to do with the time.

Include Computer Idle Time

This will hide the dialog, and the stopwatch will continue running.

Discard Computer Idle Time

Time measurement will stop at the moment inactivity is detected.

Include Computer Idle Time and Continue

Time measurement will stop at the moment inactivity id detected and will restart with the same task.

The application also sends notifications if the Costlocker application is running but we haven't been tracking time for an extended period.
