Discount on the project
In certain situations, you decide to offer a discount to the client on a project. We can, of course, incorporate the discountinto the project by adjusting the budget, or we can enter the discount directly using Costlocker's function. We will demonstrate this second option in the article below.
How to enter a project discount in Costlocker?
Open the Cost Estimate of the given project and click on the Edit discount button at the bottom.

The following form will appear, allowing us to enter the discount.
Entering a discount for a project
Simply enter the discount amount and click Save.
Costlocker will not allow reducing the Project Revenue below the set billing invoicing price
How does the Discount affect Reporting?
The discount is always applied to the Price for people's work - it does not affect Project Expenses reports.
Specifically, we calculate the percentage discount from the project price and then reduce the of all items in the Price for people's work by exactly this percentage.
