How to retrospectively enter the time spent on a project using Time tracking
Entering time retrospectively can be done in any web browser or in the desktop app for Mac and Windows. It works the same in both cases, so let’s take a look at the browser version. Start by selecting Time tracking in the top bar.
Click the Select a task or type to search field to get a list of all projects you have been added to. This lets you see only the projects that are relevant to you, instead of all of the projects in your company.
Find the projects you want to start working for or enter the first letters of its name and search for it.
Select a project and click the field that reads 0 sec. A calendar will open, set for today by default. If you want to enter time that you worked yesterday, select yesterday.
Use the field to enter the time you spent working on the project. There are several ways to do this:
– Entering 25 will automatically be turned into 00:25:00 – Entering 65 will automatically be turned into 00:01:05 – Entering 1 h will automatically be turned into 01:00:00 – Entering 1.5 h will automatically be turned into 01:30:00
Another option is to add the exact times you started and finished working on the project. Costlocker will automatically calculate the duration.
In either case, don’t forget to save the record by clicking the Save button.
